Watermelon

The Watermelon is a fruit of a vine-like herb and one of the most common types of melon. The flowering plant produces a special type of fruit known as a peop, which has a thick rind and fleshy center. The watermelon fruit, loosely considered a type of melon, has a smooth exterior rind (green and yellow) and a juicy, sweet, usually red or yellow, but sometimes orange, interior flesh. The flesh consists of highly developed placental tissue within the fruit.

Fresh watermelon may be eaten in a variety of ways and is also often used to flavor summer drinks and smoothies.
