Truffle

Truffles are a group of valuable and highly sought-after edible species of underground mushrooms belonging to the fungal genus Tuber (black truffle, white truffle, Chinese truffle). The edible body of the truffle grows underground. Truffles are extremely hard to find which is why pigs and trained dogs are used to detect them. They are a true delicacy and can be used in meat and foie gras preparations, stuffings and truffle oil.
