Golden chanterelle

The golden chanterelle is the most famous of all chanterelles. Golden chanterelles are orange or yellow, meaty and funnel-shaped. They have forking gills on the underside, running all the way down the stalk, which tapers down seamlessly from the cap. They have a fruity smell and a mildly peppery taste and are considered an excellent food mushroom.
