Garlic is said to prevent heart diseases and have a positive effect on high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Garlic plays a big role in superstition. In Central European legends, garlic is believed to protect against werewolves, demons and vampires. In India, garlic supposedly protects the house from snakes.
