Granadilla

The granadilla is a subtropical fruit. It can be found where it's warm (15 - 18° C) and damp (60 - 100 mm annual rain), like in South America, Africa and Australia, where it is often referred to as passion fruit.
The fruit can be up to 8 cm and has a hard outer shell and soft padding in the interior to protect the seeds. The seeds are hard and black and surrounded by transparent pulp. The pulp is the edible part of the fruit and has a strong acidic taste.
