Galia Melon

Galia Melon

The Galia Melon is similar to the Cantaloup but larger and with green flesh. Like all melons, the Galia Melon is fruity, juicy, sweet and very fresh. Its ripeness is measured by the colour and the fragrance. It tends to preserve well at room temperature, but after cutting, the melon pieces need to be stored in the refrigerator in order to preserve their taste. The rind is netted.

The Galia Melon was first cultivated in Israel, but can now be found also in South America.
